Lowe's Lot 1/30/24

    Murfreesboro detectives are on the search for two con- men operating out of the Lowe’s parking lot according to Murfreesboro Police.

              On January 30th, a man was approached in the Lowe’s parking lot on Old Fort Parkway by two men in an SUV attempting to sell discounted projectors and screens. The victim purchased a projector and screen for $1,500, believing the retail price was $12,000.

              Later, the victim discovered a ‘White Van Scam’ being discussed on Reddit involving the same two suspects. The man turned in the counterfeit goods into Murfreesboro Police as evidence. Some Murfreesboro natives have concerns about this parking lot in particular.

              The suspects are believed to be driving a silver 2023 Ford Expedition Limited Edition with a Texas license plate. The investigation is ongoing as police continue searching for the suspects.
